LUCI TAPAHONSO was born and raised in Shiprock, New Mexico, and is a member of the Navajo Nation. She is an assistant professor of English at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, where she lives with her husband and children. She has published three books of poetry, One More Shiprock Night, Seasonal Woman, and A Breeze Swept Through and has been published in numerous journals and anthologies.
